Veba uses smart technology to externally monitor the three variables that can impact milk or formula expiration: time, temperature, and when a bottle has been used for feeding. Veba’s technology detects ambient temperature around the bottle, tracks when a bottle was prepared, recognizes when the bottle has been used for feeding, and automatically updates expiration based on these key indicators. The monitor also includes a freshness indicator, allowing parents to instantly see if the bottle is fresh or not with a quick shake of the bottle.
Veba’s intuitive app, called Veba Baby, allows parents to see real-time data on the bottle, track time and quantity of a meal in a feeding log, and sends reminders when a bottle is close to expiration. The app also includes a ‘Find my bottle’ feature that when used will play a sound from the bottle, making it easy for parents to find. Veba uses recommendations and guidelines from the CDC and WHO for expiration timing, but as parents ultimately know what’s best for their baby, the app allows for personalization on the timing of expiration.
